IFAT 2022 - the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management - was held at Messe München from May 30 to June 3, 2022. H2.B and five other partners provided information on the topic of hydrogen in Bavaria at the "Joint Pavilion Hydrogen Bavaria". NUREMBERG - For the first time, the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) has published a Roadmap for the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy in the Free State. It calculates the rapidly growing demand for the climate-friendly energy carrier and the necessary hydrogen pipeline infrastructure. At the presentation in Nuremberg, Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Hubert Aiwanger called the Hydrogen Roadmap an "excellent impetus for the climate-friendly transformation of the economy".

Delegation trip to Vienna with focus on hydrogen – Verbund AG joins Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria

The Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) was part of an expert trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) under Bavaria’s State Secretary for Economic Affairs Roland Weigert from Friday, October 15, until today. In addition to visiting EXPO 2020 Dubai and the German Pavilion “Campus Germany”, the focus of the program was on hydrogen. As a very sunny region, the UAE is predestined for the production of green hydrogen from solar energy, and the Emirates are also expanding their capacities for the production of blue hydrogen. In talks with high-ranking government representatives and companies, prospects for new collaborations, such as a strategic hydrogen alliance, are to be explored.

Two years after the foundation of the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) and the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria, a press conference was held at the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy to draw up an interim balance and at the same time to welcome Wacker Chemie AG as the 200th partner in the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria. H2.B board member Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm informed about the current status of the implementation of the Bavarian hydrogen strategy and clarified the role of hydrogen as an important, versatile element to achieve climate neutrality.
