IFAT 2022 - the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management - was held at Messe München from May 30 to June 3, 2022. H2.B and five other partners provided information on the topic of hydrogen in Bavaria at the "Joint Pavilion Hydrogen Bavaria". H2.B welcomed visitors at the joint hydrogen booth "Joint Pavilion Hydrogen Bavaria" together with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Bavarian Ministry of the Environment and three partners of the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria (BtX energy GmbH, Electrochaea GmbH, SYPOX) in hall A4.352.

Almost 80 events have already been announced by various companies, districts, cities, universities and initiatives at the WOCHE DES WASSERSTOFFS SÜD 2022 (Week of Hydrogen South Germany); many more have announced their participation. The #WDWS2022 will take place from June 25 to July 03 in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland with support of the federal states.

NUREMBERG - For the first time, the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) has published a Roadmap for the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy in the Free State. It calculates the rapidly growing demand for the climate-friendly energy carrier and the necessary hydrogen pipeline infrastructure. At the presentation in Nuremberg, Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Hubert Aiwanger called the Hydrogen Roadmap an "excellent impetus for the climate-friendly transformation of the economy".

The Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) is taking part in a delegation trip surrounding Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger to Vienna from March 24th to 25th. During several meetings with Austrian politicians and industry, one of the topics will be the cooperation regarding hydrogen. Economics Minister Hubert Aiwanger stressed the importance of a cooperation between Bavaria and Austria: "Bavaria and Austria are pioneers in hydrogen."

This year, the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE will be held from September 21-22, 2022 in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg and simultaneously on a digital event platform. The organizer NürnbergMesse is thus responding to the many requests from the industry to meet again in person as soon as possible. The new, earlier date in September was chosen in close consultation with partners and industry representatives.

During a delegation trip to Dubai, the Free State of Bavaria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) agreed on close cooperation in the field of climate and energy policy. For that purpose, Bavaria's State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Roland Weigert, and Mariam al-Mheiri, Minister for Climate Change and the Environment and Special Representative of the UAE for the Federal Republic of Germany, signed a joint declaration of intent. Bavaria and the United Emirates aim at expanding their economic relations – great opportunities for cooperation lie especially within the energy sector with a focus on hydrogen technologies. The Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) is accompanying the trip, which also includes several companies from the Hydrogen Alliance of Bavaria.
