H2.B info booth and mobile hydrogen filling station in front of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs during the IAA trade show week

During the IAA Mobility 2021 show, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is planning numerous activities regarding hydrogen in the mobility sector together with the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B). Therefore, the H2.B will provide information on hydrogen and especially H2 in mobility in front of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. What role can hydrogen play in the mobility sector? What is the range of hydrogen cars, trucks and buses? What is the difference between electric and hydrogen vehicles? How and where will hydrogen be produced in the future?  H2.B staff will answer these and many other questions daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at an outdoor booth in front of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. May means of a digital model of hydrogen value chains, visitors can learn about the various production, transport and utilization options for hydrogen.

In addition, a mobile hydrogen filling station, operated by the company Westfaln AG, supplies hydrogen vehicles several times a day, making hydrogen technologies directly tangible. On September 10, 2021, starting at approximately 8:45 p.m., a spectacular 3D video show will bring the building itself to life.

About the individual actions:

Mobile hydrogen filling station & refueling demonstrations

During the week of the fair, a mobile hydrogen filling station will supply hydrogen-powered vehicles (cars, buses). The aim is to make the innovative hydrogen technology tangible for companies and people. During the daily refueling demonstrations, you will receive general information about hydrogen, H2 in mobility as well as the refueling process.

What is the difference between electric and hydrogen vehicles in terms of propulsion technology, range, cost and greenhouse gas emissions? How and where will hydrogen be produced in the future? Where will hydrogen play a role in the future energy system? These and many other questions will be answered by the H2.B staff every day between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in front of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Digital model of hydrogen value chains

Hydrogen will play a significant role in a climate-neutral industrial society of the future due to its high energy density, good storage capability and diverse applications. My means of a digital model of hydrogen value chains, visitors can learn about the different production, transport and utilization options for hydrogen and immerse themselves in the future global hydrogen world.

Spectacular 3D video show

On the occasion of the “Long Night of Mobility” on September 10, the exterior facade of the Ministry comes to life. A 3D video mapping will take the audience on a journey through time to the mobility of the future. In addition, animated key messages on the mobility of the future will be projected onto the facade every evening during the week of the trade fair.
