Hydrogen Center Bavaria

The State of Bavaria has founded the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) to consolidate and expand the strong position of the Bavarian industry in the important future field of the hydrogen economy. In this way, the State of Bavaria is pursuing the goal of bringing together central players in industry, science and politics in order to advance the topic of the “hydrogen economy” in Bavaria as quickly as possible and to achieve the use of hydrogen in broad practical application.

Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria

During the founding event of H2.B on September 5, 2019, central players of a future Bavarian hydrogen economy signed the declaration of intent for the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria. Its more than 407 partners from industry, science and politics declare that they will contribute to strengthening and expanding Bavaria’s technological competence in the field of innovative hydrogen technologies and support the activities of the Hydrogen Center Bavaria.

“Building a European Hydrogen Grid for a Greener Future” Delegation Trip to Belgium and the Netherlands Led by Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger

Belgium/Netherlands – From November 19 to 22, a Bavarian delegation of representatives from business, academia, and politics, led by Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger, traveled to Belgium and the Netherlands. Belgium is positioning itself as a future hub for hydrogen imports into Europe and as a transit country for further transport within the continent. The Netherlands has ambitious plans to establish itself as Europe’s green hydrogen center and is already the second-largest hydrogen producer in Europe.

Hydrogen Mobility for Heavy-Duty Vehicles: How It Can Succeed – Pioneering Spirit and Cooperation Among Stakeholders – Länderdialog Baden-Württemberg – Bayern at the ZSW in Ulm

Ulm – Under the motto “How can it succeed?”, the 3rd Länderdialog (State Dialogue) Baden-Württemberg – Bayern took place on November 5th, focusing on advancing hydrogen mobility in the commercial vehicle sector. The cross-state event, hosted by the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) and the Plattform H2BW at the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW) in Ulm, brought together more than 120 participants from Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, and neighboring states. Key topics included opportunities and challenges for logistics companies and vehicle manufacturers, as well as aspects of a functional mobility ecosystem.
