Hydrogen Center Bavaria
The State of Bavaria has founded the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) to consolidate and expand the strong position of the Bavarian industry in the important future field of the hydrogen economy. In this way, the State of Bavaria is pursuing the goal of bringing together central players in industry, science and politics in order to advance the topic of the “hydrogen economy” in Bavaria as quickly as possible and to achieve the use of hydrogen in broad practical application.
Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria
During the founding event of H2.B on September 5, 2019, central players of a future Bavarian hydrogen economy signed the declaration of intent for the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria. Its more than 402 partners from industry, science and politics declare that they will contribute to strengthening and expanding Bavaria’s technological competence in the field of innovative hydrogen technologies and support the activities of the Hydrogen Center Bavaria.

HYDROGEN DIALOGUE 2022 takes place in September
This year, the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE will be held from September 21-22, 2022 in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg and simultaneously on a digital event platform. The organizer NürnbergMesse is thus responding to the many requests from the industry to meet again in person as soon as possible. The new, earlier date in September was chosen in close consultation with partners and industry representatives.
Bavaria and the UAE intensify their partnership in the field of energy technology – hydrogen one of the main cooperation topics
During a delegation trip to Dubai, the Free State of Bavaria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) agreed on close cooperation in the field of climate and energy policy. For that purpose, Bavaria's State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Roland Weigert, and Mariam al-Mheiri, Minister for Climate Change and the Environment and Special Representative of the UAE for the Federal Republic of Germany, signed a joint declaration of intent. Bavaria and the United Emirates aim at expanding their economic relations – great opportunities for cooperation lie especially within the energy sector with a focus on hydrogen technologies. The Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) is accompanying the trip, which also includes several companies from the Hydrogen Alliance of Bavaria.
Expert trip to the United Arab Emirates with focus on hydrogen
The Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) was part of an expert trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) under Bavaria’s State Secretary for Economic Affairs Roland Weigert from Friday, October 15, until today. In addition to visiting EXPO 2020 Dubai and the German Pavilion “Campus Germany”, the focus of the program was on hydrogen. As a very sunny region, the UAE is predestined for the production of green hydrogen from solar energy, and the Emirates are also expanding their capacities for the production of blue hydrogen. In talks with high-ranking government representatives and companies, prospects for new collaborations, such as a strategic hydrogen alliance, are to be explored.
