3rd HYDROGEN DIALOGUE Summit & Expo: <\/strong>more than 1,000 national and international participants from industry, science and politics discussed for the first time in presence in Nuremberg<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Nuremberg – The 3rd HYDROGEN DIALOGUE Summit & Expo offered more than 70 top-class lectures, talks and panel discussions along the entire value chain of the global hydrogen economy from September 21-22. More than 100 speakers and over 1,000 participants discussed current challenges and opportunities in the context of the energy crisis, international projects and collaborations, and the financing of hydrogen projects. Several side events also took place during the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the successful presence premiere of the 3rd HYDROGEN DIALOGUE, national and international participants discussed with the speakers on three conference stages, informed themselves in the accompanying exhibition at the booths of 36 exhibitors or networked in the socializing area. The participation of numerous international, high-ranking representatives from politics and business, including from Australia, Argentina, Chile, Canada and Colombia, demonstrated the importance of accelerating the global ramp-up of the hydrogen economy. In total, over 1,000 participants were welcomed onsite and digitally over the two days of the conference. The more than 70 presentations, panel discussions and talks, as well as the exhibition accompanying the congress, offered a cross-section of current topics in the national and international hydrogen economy, including the impact of the geopolitical situation on the importance of hydrogen as an energy carrier and on investments in hydrogen projects.<\/p>\n

The patron of the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE, Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy, Hubert Aiwanger, welcomed the guests from more than 15 countries: “The third HYDROGEN DIALOGUE in the Exhibition Center Nuremberg once again puts Bavaria as a leading hydrogen location in the focus of the international hydrogen world and sets important impulses in challenging times. Now we need to rapidly ramp up the hydrogen economy in the Free State of Bavaria, expand the European infrastructure and forge international partnerships for the supply of green hydrogen. This is the way to make us independent and climate-neutral in energy supply.”<\/p>\n

This year’s thematic focus was on international hydrogen cooperation and innovation and investment in the context of the energy crisis. Hydrogen is gaining in importance worldwide against the backdrop of climate change. Due to the current energy debate, the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy is gaining additional momentum, as Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm, economist and Co-Director of the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) emphasizes: “The consistent sustainable transformation of our energy system is more current and urgent than ever before. Hydrogen will play an essential role in the climate-neutral energy system and help to secure and diversify our energy supply. With the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE, together with N\u00fcrnbergMesse, we have created an important discussion platform and technology showcase in Bavaria. National and international experts, decision-makers and numerous high-tech companies will meet in Nuremberg to discuss the decisive course to be set.”<\/p>\n

As part of the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE, there were several side events dealing with the concrete realization of the hydrogen economy: At the EUROPEAN HYDROGEN TRANSPORT DIALOGUE on September 21 (organized by Hydrogen Europe and TechTour in cooperation with N\u00fcrnbergMesse and H2.B), 30 investors from all over Europe met 30 European ventures that presented their innovative solutions around hydrogen mobility and transport in pitches.<\/p>\n

At the VDE FINANCIAL DIALOGUE HYDROGEN 2022 (organized by VDE Renewables in cooperation with Munich RE) on September 22, experts from the finance and insurance industries discussed market developments in the hydrogen sector.<\/p>\n

On September 21, Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Hubert Aiwanger also invited high-ranking stakeholders from politics, industry and science to the “Hydrogen Round Table” to exchange views on the hydrogen needs of Bavarian industry and how to meet them.<\/p>\n

The plenary meeting of the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria with more than 285 partners (companies, research institutions and associations) also took place embedded in the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE on September 22 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Roland Fleck and Peter Ottmann, CEOs and hosts were pleased about the successful live premiere of the 3rd HYDROGEN DIALOGUE with top-class and well-attended presentations: “The HYDROGEN DIALOGUE 2022 has impressively shown how important the exchange between politics, industry and science is for the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy to succeed! Important partnerships, also with international players, were initiated, bilateral talks were held and a lot of knowledge and experience was exchanged. The task of discussing and, above all, driving the market ramp-up of hydrogen is a challenge that cannot be tackled single-handedly anyway.”<\/p>\n

Jasmin Rutka, Director of the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE, adds: “We have shown that Nuremberg is the meeting place of the hydrogen community! Our thanks go to our conceptual partner, the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) as well as the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria, our patron Minister of State Hubert Aiwanger, our advisory board as well as all customers and partners, without whom this event would not have been so successful.”<\/p>\n
