2 years of Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) and the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria, recpetion of Wacker Chemie AG as 200th partner in the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria<\/h1>\n

Two years after the foundation of the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) and the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria, a press conference was held at the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy to draw up an interim balance and to welcome Wacker Chemie AG as the 200th partner in the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria.<\/p>\n

H2.B chairwoman Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm informed about the current status of the implementation of the Bavarian Hydrogen Strategy and clarified the role of hydrogen as an important, versatile element to achieve climate neutrality: “Two successful and dynamic years are behind us. In the coming years, it will be important to continue the numerous initiatives at the state, federal and EU levels in a closely interlinked manner in order to accelerate the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy. Hydrogen is an essential block of the energy transition, hydrogen technologies help to reorganize the economy and secure jobs in Bavaria and Germany. The broad-based Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria with its now more than 200 players from industry, science and politics illustrates Bavaria’s strength in the future field of hydrogen. We are pleased to welcome Wacker Chemie AG, another important hydrogen player, as the 200th Alliance partner.”<\/p>\n

Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger thanked H2.B chairwoman Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm and chairman Prof. Dr. Peter Wasserscheid: “Bavaria is happy to have you both as hydrogen experts. You ensure the great public visibility of H2.B and the close networking in the growing hydrogen community in Germany. Hydrogen is not only the stuff dreams are made of, but the stuff solutions are made of.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Christian Hartel, CEO of Wacker Chemie AG: “We are looking forward to the exchange within the Hydrogen Alliance. For the chemical industry in particular, green hydrogen is a key element on the road to climate neutrality. As a raw material and energy carrier, it provides the prerequisites for making production processes CO2-neutral. However, the entry into the hydrogen economy can only succeed with large amounts of renewable electricity. Cheap green electricity is the best hydrogen strategy for industry in this transformation step.”<\/p>\n<\/div>
