June 2021: digital and more international

After a successful premiere: 2nd HYDROGEN DIALOGUE takes place again digitally

Top-class program on two days with international speakers from business, science and politics

Jump-In-Discussions and virtual Round Tables: New tools promote networking and interaction

Twice as long and with new program elements! The HYDROGEN DIALOGUE 2021 – Summit & Expo will take place digitally on two days and will be more international. The success of the premiere with over 700 experts from business, science and politics as well as 45 top-class speakers has allowed the follow-up event to grow. On June 22 and 23, 2021, the hydrogen community will once again enter into dialog on the tried and tested digital channels. At the same time, the 2021 event will also feature an English-language conference portion with high-profile, international speakers from politics and business. Additional program items and online functions will make networking and exchange even easier.

The presentations and discussions of the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE move along the entire value chain: From the production and logistics to the use of hydrogen, with a view to national strategies and the international hydrogen economy. The conceptual partner of the event is the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B), as the central strategy and coordination office of the State of Bavaria for hydrogen-related topics, and responsible for the activities in the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria, in which more than 160 hydrogen players from industry and science are represented. “The H2.B welcomes the positive development of the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE and is looking forward to an exciting and informative event again this year. Especially the addition of international aspects and speakers, combined with numerous interesting best practice talks, brings an interesting mix of global and local perspectives”, says Fabian Pfaffenberger, Head of Public Relations at the H2.B. “The hydrogen community needs a common platform. This was underlined by the successful premiere of the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE. With the second edition, we are following this up and offering new features,” says Dr. Roland Fleck, CEO NürnbergMesse Group.

National and international expertise

This year’s HYDROGEN DIALOGUE will feature numerous international speakers, including Stijn van Els (Director Commercial Delivery, Port of Rotterdam), Philip Green (Ambassador, Australian Embassy in Germany), Nienke Homan (Regional Minister, Province of Groningen) and speakers from South America. There will be a special strand in English.

From Germany, Katherina Reiche (Chairwoman of the National Hydrogen Council), Dr. Klaus Bonhoff (Head of Department for Policy Issues, Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure), Prof. Veronika Grimm (Economist, Chairwoman of H2.B), Max Viessmann (CEO of the Viessmann Group), Andreas Kuhlmann (CEO of dena), Sven Ennerst (Member of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck AG), Heino von Mayer (Head of Global Relations and Networking, International PtX Hub), Holger Lösch (Deputy Managing Director, BDI) and Hubert Aiwanger (Minister of Economic Affairs, Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy).

Exchange and network on multiple levels

Professional input, presentation, discussion – the success of the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE is also based on the personal exchange and networking of the participants. Direct calls and the chat function were already frequently used at the premiere. Therefore, the range of interactive elements of the second edition has been expanded. New features include Jump-In-Discussions, where participants can set up their own topics on the event platform and discuss them with other participants via video conference. Virtual Round Tables will also be held for the first time: These are discussion rounds initiated and moderated by exhibitors (exchange with experts and other participants in a small circle of up to 40 people).

Best Practice Hubs & Digital Company Profiles

The HYDROGEN DIALOGUE is a summit – and an expo. This is reflected in the Best Practice Hubs, where participants learn about specific projects and benefit from the exchange with other experts. Project participants present how they have mastered challenges and successfully implemented hydrogen. With their digital company profiles, exhibitors present the potential of hydrogen in the digital showcase.

The countdown to the second HYDROGEN DIALOGUE started. In advance, interested persons and potential participants can get prepared digitally for the event. After Business Talks will be streamed live on a monthly basis via the event platform. This is a chance to exchange ideas with members of the hydrogen community, ask questions or simply listen: https://www.hydrogendialogue.com/abt/.

Website of the HYDROGEN DIALOGUE: https://www.hydrogendialogue.com

Press contact

Paula Kopp

Manager Public Relations

paula.kopp@h2.bayern
+49 (0) 911 5302-99237

With innovation, networking and expertise at the highest level into a decarbonized future – for this, the Hydrogen Summit from June, 22-23 offers a top-class program with around 50 national and international speakers from business, science and politics.
