As of 2014, he is also Director at the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nuremberg for Renewable Energy (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hi-ern.de\/hi-ern\/EN\/home.html\">HI ERN<\/a>), which is a branch of Forschungszentrum J\u00fclich.
