The WEEK OF WATER MATERIALS is coming to Bavaria in 2022. Under the name WEEK OF HYDROGEN SOUTH (#WDWS2022), there will be events around the topic of hydrogen at various locations in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and in Saarland from June 25 to July 3. Starting today, companies, universities, initiatives, networks and other institutions can now register with their own event formats.

Two years after the foundation of the Center Hydrogen.Bavaria (H2.B) and the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria, a press conference was held at the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy to draw up an interim balance and at the same time to welcome Wacker Chemie AG as the 200th partner in the Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria. H2.B board member Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm informed about the current status of the implementation of the Bavarian hydrogen strategy and clarified the role of hydrogen as an important, versatile element to achieve climate neutrality.

During the IAA Mobility 2021 show, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is planning numerous activities regarding hydrogen in the mobility sector together with the Center Hydrogen.Bavaria (H2.B). Therefore, the H2.B will provide information on hydrogen and especially H2 in mobility in front of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. What role can hydrogen play in the mobility sector? What is the range of hydrogen cars, trucks and buses? What is the difference between electric and hydrogen vehicles? How and where will hydrogen be produced in the future? H2.B staff will answer these and many other questions daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at an outdoor booth in front of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. May means of a digital model of hydrogen value chains, visitors can learn about the various production, transport and utilization options for hydrogen. In addition, a mobile hydrogen filling station, operated by the company Westfaln AG, supplies hydrogen vehicles several times a day, making hydrogen technologies directly tangible. On September 10, 2021, starting at approximately 8:45 p.m., a spectacular 3D video show will bring the building itself to life.

Due to the Corona pandemic, the presentation of the certificate by the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger and Prof. Dr. Peter Wasserscheid, Chairman of the Center Hydrogen.Bavaria (H2.B), could not take place personally in Mainburg.
The Center Hydrogen.Bavaria joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance at the end of November. The alliance unites renowned players from business, science, politics, and civil society across all European regions and economic sectors.
The HYDROGEN DIALOGUE of the NürnbergMesse (the Nuremberg Fair company), with the H2.B as the conceptual sponsor responsible for the program, was launched digitally due to Corona and was realized in 2020 in cooperation with the NUEdialog of the School of Business, Economics and Society (WiSo Nuremberg) of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU).
The Hydrogen Alliance Bavaria now presents itself with an own logo. With this logo, the meanwhile over 125 alliance partners signal their membership in the Hydrogen Alliance and show that they are part of a constantly growing network of hydrogen actors in Bavaria.
